In 2006 Monika joined the World Resources Institute (WRI), within the Institutions and Governance Department, as the Project Coordinator for The Access Initiative (TAI) and Partnership for Principle 10 Secretariats.

Currently, her work portfolio includes managing communications and finances for the Access Team which serves as the Global Secretariat for The Access Initiative as well as other initiatives focused on assessing access rights.

Outside of her work with WRI, Monika is actively involved with the US youth climate movement serving on the Board of Directors for SustainUS. In addition to working towards greater environmental democracy and policy reform, Monika is interested in helping solve some of the world’s complex everyday problems with low cost, effective and efficient ideas.
